Form I-9 and E-Verify are post-employment functions that confirm employment eligibility of new hires. ESR provides a robust solution that simplifies the process enabling employers to compliantly verify work status and electronically capture and retain required Form I-9 information without redundant data entry.
Form I-9 is used for verifying the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. Both employees and employers (or authorized representatives of the employer) must complete the form. On the form, an employee must attest to his or her employment authorization.
The employee must also present his or her employer with acceptable documents evidencing identity and employment authorization. The employer must examine the employment eligibility and identity document(s) an employee presents to determine whether the document(s) reasonably appear to be genuine and to relate to the employee and record the document information on the Form I-9.

Employers are required to verify the identity and employment authorization documents of employees hired after 11/6/1986. Not required for have Form I-9 for employees hired on or before this date.
Complete and retain a Form I-9 for each employee.
Employers may delegate authority to complete the Form I-9 to a third party, but, employer still retains liability for any errors.

E-Verify is an employment eligibility verification program run by the U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that provides access to federal databases to determine the legal right of newly hired employees to work in the United States.
